Semitic
Verb Roots
Below are links to some files that represent an abstract level of research. Let the reader use them in the degree that they are useful. I will be most grateful for any corrections you might be above to point out.

There are twenty-three letters in the Hebrew alphabet (including the distinction between sin and shin), and as a rule each verb root is made up of three characters. Some have two, some four. In the listings below we focus on those with three. In the case of Hebrew there are 1...23, 1...23, 1...23 = 12,167 possible ways to combine the 23 letters into roots. Of course not all of these occur. When I finish working through these lists letter combinations that occur as verb roots will be printed in black, with the others grayed out. In the last two lists (those for Syriac and Ethiopic) everything is still black because I haven't gone through them yet. All in due course. I'll post further results as they become available. So far this is what we have:

Possible Verb Root Letter Combinations
Language Possible Combinations Status
Hebrew 12,167 (23 x 23 x 23) In process
Biblical Aramaic 12,167 (23 x 23 x 23) Completed
Syriac 10,648 (22 x 22 x 22) Raw list
Ethiopic 17,576 (26 x 26 x 26) Raw list

Actually Occurring Hebrew Ayin Doubled Verb Roots
Of the 529 (23 x 23) potential ayin doubled verb roots in Hebrew, only 126 combinations actually occur. This is 24% (126/529), or a ratio of 1:4. In the above table there are four letters that never occur as a first radical in ayin doubled verbs (aleph, waw, tet, sin), and one letter that does not occur as a second and third radical (waw).

The reason for doing all this is not quite so simple as wanting a list of verb roots that occur in the lexicon. To get that, you look in a lexicon. There are some other considerations.
